Tonight the hubby and I went to this great restaurant in Omotesando called Crayon House. It is an organic restaurant and was fabulous! It has an organic grocery store next to the restaurant, which is downstairs. I think there is a children’s bookstore upstairs, but we didn’t check that part out! 😉
So, check out our yummy food!
This is a seasonal vegetable and agar salad with umeboshi dressing. The vegetables were all organic – mizuna, lettuce, tomatoes, purple sweet potatoes, and carrots, plus we had some shredded agar agar.
Here was our tofu steaks with miso sauce. In Japanese this is called dengaku miso which means charcoal grilled tofu with a special miso sauce. OMG it was soooo delicious!! I know, it doesn’t SOUND too yummy (especially for those of you with a bad idea of tofu), but it was truly delicious!
Here are my carbs for the night – a rice set of brown rice, miso soup, and pickles. The rice had some toasted black sesame seeds on top which made it very flavorful. The miso soup had some really good tofu chunks and organic komatsuna. The pickles were especially nice – only lightly pickled, and still very crisp and crunchy!!
